We have great next-door neighbors - the Browns. Their daughter Sienna is only a few weeks older than Emily. Their other daughter Mia celebrated her 3rd birthday this weekend and Emily was invited to celebrate! She had a great time at her first friend's birthday party :-)

Tacky Christmas Party

The Jason's Deli Christmas Party had a tacky sweater theme this year. Of course, Fouad and I went all out. We found two great sweaters at the Goodwill:

Can you believe that we didn't win tackiest couple? There were sweaters/outfits that were TACKIER than that! We had a great time with everyone :-)

Dutch Monkey Date

We met our friends Heidi, Ronnie, and baby Cela at Dutch Monkey Doughnuts a few weekends ago for a little playdate. Heidi had been hearing me rave about Dutch Monkey for months, so she had to make her way up to our neck of the woods to try it. Hopefully, she wasn't disappointed! We met up with Anne and Matt today to see Santa! Emily did a great job - she was so happy! Santa must have told her she was on the nice list :-) Here's her very first photo with the big guy:

Thanksgiving 2010

Thanksgiving 2010 was fun and exhausting! We decided to split the day so that each family had equal time with Emily (and us...but mostly Emily). We started at my parents' house where we had fun with my family and friends and ate a delicious meal around 1:00 pm. Emily had just enough time to be only a little fussy before we headed to Fouad's aunt & uncle's home to have dinner #2 around 5:00 pm. We enjoyed lots of time with family and of course delicious food. Emily was a champ, and the three of us survived with only a few minor breakdowns. Here's a few pictures from both celebrations:

4 Months!

Emily is 4 months old! Our photoshoot was a little more active than the past three, so I decided to share it in a slideshow:

Here are some of our memories from the last month:

* Emily's first loooong road trip to Alabama to see her great-grandmother.
* The binky! Emily loves her pacifier.
* Emily has made a "best friend" at daycare. We hear stories about the two of them when we pick her up.
* Emily has started giggling more and we have even found a ticklish spot!
* The dogs have caught Em's attention and she reaches out to pet them now.
* Emily has been reaching and grabbing toys. Her favorites are the bunny rattle and any of the toys that make a "crinkle" noise.
