Someone found Mommy's tinted lip gloss and went to town! She thought she looked so beautiful :-)

Haircut time!
We had been debating for weeks about getting Emily's hair cut before we were able to finally agree that it was time. Her beautiful long, curly locks were becoming much straighter at the top, so we decided to go with a short bob and say goodbye to those sweet baby curls. I actually teared up when the stylist made the first big cut. Emily did a great job and LOVES her new haircut!
**Special thank you to Aunt Nay Nay for coming and letting Emily use your lap!**

All ready to go - first big cut!
All finished and got a lollipop!
So sweet :-)
Waffle House Valentine's Day
Once again we headed to Waffle House for a candlelit dinner for Valentine's day. Emily loved the decor - especially the flowers on the table. Such a sweet tradition :-)
Chick-fil-a Daddy-Daughter Date Night
Emily and Fouad went on their Daddy-Daughter date night at Chick-fil-a earlier this month. They had a great time. Emily agrees that Fouad really knows how to treat a lady on a date :-)
My two favorite people before they went out
Princess Emily with her button and flower
Daddy even treated her to a milkshake!
After dinner they headed to the bookstore for a special gift :-)

I've been using Instagram a lot from my phone lately. It really makes my terrible iPhone pictures so much better! Here are a few of my favorite pictures that I have captured of Emily since I started using this app in October:
A day at the park...in January???
We had an unexpected warm weekend in January, so we took advantage of it by going to the park both days. Emily's favorite park by far is Sims Lake Park where she can play on the playground and feed the geese in the pond. On this particular weekend, the highs were in the 70's! We had a great time!
Ready to swing
Push me higher, Daddy!
Beep beep!
Sweet girl
Fouad nearly had a heart attack when she did this!

Christmas 2012
Emily was so excited about Santa's arrival this year. I felt like we were talking about him for months until it was finally Christmas eve! Her excitement was contagious - I was almost too excited to sleep myself. Here are some pictures from Christmas eve and Christmas day:
Our tree after Santa visited late in the evening
Emily's first look at her presents
Showing daddy that she knows exactly what to do
Her play food was a huge success
More presents!
Loving all the books she received
This video was taken after Emily opened all of her presents from Mommy and Daddy. We went into the living room to see if Santa ate our cookies and milk. It was priceless :-)
Christmas Activities
After our Disney trip, we finally got our Christmas tree up and decorated. Emily had a very special job this year - putting the star on top! She had to get a little help from Daddy :-)
We had some messy fun with our friend Olivia and her mommy Jenn decorating cookies at their house:
We also attended Emily's first Christmas program at her school. Here she is just as they came out on the stage:
She was frantically looking for us and burst into tears as soon as she saw us. There's always next year!

Aren't these two just the sweetest friends?
Breakfast with Santa & Cumming Christmas Parade
We took Emily to the Mall of Georgia to have a Chick-fil-a breakfast with Santa! Two of her favorite things :-)
Looking for Santa...no time for pictures mom!
We see him!
So excited, she didn't know what to do with herself
We had to go back and see him again...
...for a quick hug :-)
BIG tree
Waving at the parade as it passes by
There's Santa again!
Our sweet animal-loving girl
Every animal got special attention and each one was deemed her "favorite"
