Avery - 4 Months!

Our baby is already 4 months old! Here are some highlights from this month:

* Avery LOVES her sister! We have pulled up to car line to get Emily from Pre-K with Avery crying and as soon as she sees Emily she is all smiles. 

* She's rolling side to side, and has managed to get to her tummy once. She loves to use her arms and legs to reach for her toys on her play mat. 

* She's starting to laugh without being tickled. Emily and Daddy are the best at getting her to laugh at silly faces, but Mommy gets laughs with peek-a-boo!

* She is responding to her name!

* She's really starting to like her pacifier. 

* Avery has a favorite noise which Emily calls the "mustard bottle!"  Bpppptttt!

Christmas Fun!

We have been having a blast this Christmas! Here are some pictures of the girls visiting Santa! Poor Santa was a little hard of hearing and when Emily asked for  "little dolls" he heard "Lego dolls" and poor girl was too polite to correct him! Thankfully, our elf Vegetables is visiting us and we made sure he knew Emily wants LITTLE dolls and a dollhouse. 

We also had a blast at Emily's Pre-K Christmas party!

Jomaa Christmas Tree 2014

We went on a hunt for our Christmas tree and found the perfect one! Starting the holidays off right! Also, Vegetables the Elf is back and making sure the girls are on their best behavior!

Thankful for our family!

Thanksgiving was especially sweet this year! We loved spending time with our family!

Thanksgiving at School!

We enjoyed celebrating Thanksgiving with Emily's class at school. They were so cute singing their songs! Here are some pictures:

Pumpkins galore!

We are having lots of fun with our pumpkins! Sweet Avery was subjected to the baby in a pumpkin photo just like her sister when she was a baby.

Emily painted her pumpkin this year and did an incredible job on her spooky Halloween kitty cat!

Avery - 3 months!

Sweet Avery is three months old! Here's a little more about baby sister this month:

* Holds her head up for longer periods of time. 

* Loves to be tickled under her neck. She gives big giggles for her sister too - without tickles!

* Loves to take baths! She tries really hard to sit up and move her feet towards the water. 

* Really interested in her hands and feet and how they work. 

* Rolls side to side!

Tap/Ballet

Emily has started the next level of ballet - tap/ballet! She sure does love those tap shoes! Here she is showing off her moves before her first day:

Emily had a great final game of fall ball! Here she is with her coach (and trophy!)

Pumpkin Patch

We had a blast at the pumpkin patch with the Coffeen family. Emily and Katie enjoyed the farm while Avery and Caroline slept. A great day for everyone!

Avery - two months!

Our sweet Avery girl is two months old! We are really enjoying this sweet baby girl   She rarely fusses unless she needs to eat. Here are some more fun Avery facts for month two:

* Avery's sleep schedule is still all over the place. She sleeps mostly during the day and stays awake for most of the night. We can't wait to get that turned around...but mommy is napping when her girl naps in the morning while big sister is at school. 

* She still won't take a pacifier despite all our efforts and different types of pacifiers. She has stopped trying to suck her thumb, so we have hopefully avoided that!

* She loves to look at the monkey mirror in Mommy's care and smile, laugh, and "talk' to it. Emily loved to do the same thing when she was that age - so sweet!

* She had a great two month check-up with the pediatrician. She weighs 11 pounds 8 ounces (50%) and is 23 1/4 inches tall (80%). We have a tall girl! 

Apple Picking Jubilee

We spent the day picking apples and enjoying the farm at Hillcrest Orchards. My favorite part is the cold apple cider and apple cider doughnuts. Yum! We had a blast!

Avery is one month old!

Our sweet baby girl is one month old! She loves to smile at us and enjoys looking at the animals on her mobile. She hasn't quite gotten the hang of sleeping at night, but she loves to nap all day, and also enjoys taking a bath. When she's eating, she likes to run her fingers through her hair - it's so adorable!

Avery has been out and about all month. She tags along to pick up big sis at school and to watch big sis play t-ball. She really is just going with the flow! 

Fall Ball!

Emily started playing T-Ball this month. She is learning a lot and loves playing on a team!

Loving on Avery

We have all been enjoying our time with our sweet baby Avery. She is such a good baby and is almost never fussy. She loves her big sister, and big sister loves her too. Life is good!
