Mornings at the Jomaa home...

Love the time we share in the morning with our sweet girl. Usually it's watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Sofia the First, but today she got Daddy's phone and enjoyed a little Daniel Tiger while Mommy got ready for work. Such a sweet moment :-)

Summer is here!

I feel like this picture screams summertime! We are so excited to get some time outside in the water, whether it is at the pool or fountains!

Of course, you can't forget to get a popsicle to beat the heat!

I enjoyed a fabulous 30th birthday celebration with Fouad that included dinner and drinks downtown while Emily had a sleepover at our house with Aunt Nadine (complete with nail painting, movies, and ice cream sundaes). I was welcomed home by Emily standing at the door with a bouquet of flowers and a card. What a wonderful way to welcome a new year :-)

Soccer!

Emily has started a soccer class on Saturdays and it is just too cute! Daddy helps her with the drills on the field and he is loving it. Here's a few pictures and videos from her first class:

Memorial Day at the Zoo

We enjoyed a beautiful day at the zoo on Memorial Day. Emily just can't get enough of all of the animals, but she really just loves the petting zoo. We made the mistake of visiting that first, then she wanted to pet all of the animals. It was such a fun day!

Big Girl Bed

Emily has officially graduated to the big girl bed! We decided to go straight to a twin bed instead of taking the front railing off of her crib. We took Emily to a furniture store and she fell in love with her bed at first sight. She wouldn't get out of the floor model! Her only requirement was that she wanted a "purple" bed, so we let her pick out the linens. Needless to say, she is a very happy girl! We haven't had any issues yet!

Disney Weekend Trip

We decided to take a quick trip to Orlando to see our good friends Joe and Rebecca before they hit the road to move back to Rebecca's home state of Texas. While we were there we just couldn't help but visit Disney World :-)

Spring Recap

We have had an extremely busy spring! We have just been enjoying the warm weather and fun times with our girl! Here is a little photo recap from Spring 2013:

Mother's Day

I was absolutely spoiled on Mother's Day by Emily and Fouad. One funny thing that happened leading up to the big day was this conversation:

Emily (whispering): "Mommy, we got you a necklace! Shhh! It's a secret!" 

She was just so excited to tell me! How cute is that? Well, I definitely wasn't expecting this adorable piece of jewelry to add to my collection:

I also received a massage and a nice clean car! It was a great day for this Mommy!

 

Big Girl Haircut

Emily absolutely loves getting her hair cut after we introduced her to Sweet and Sassy. This time around, she didn't even need to sit in anyone's lap! She got to watch her favorite movie, Tangled, while she got her trim and loved every minute. She's been asking to go back and get her hair cut ever since!
