Disney World with Friends :-)

We went to Disney World this month and had an amazing time! It was made even better by our friends the Torrences, who met us there with their daughter Olivia. Emily and Olivia picked up right where they left off, and had a blast all week. I don't think I've ever seen that many princesses in four days...

BIG Announcement!

BIG announcement from our BIG girl that she is going to be a BIG SISTER!

  

Emily is thrilled to become a big sister. All she talks about is what we are going to teach the baby, what games we are going to play with the baby, and LOTS of questions about the baby in mommy's belly. We also found out early that it's a GIRL and Emily is so happy that she will have a baby sister coming soon!

January

We were so excited to be done with 2013 and for all the fun things we are looking forward to in 2014! Here are the highlights from January:

Swim Lessons:

We enrolled Emily in swim lessons at the Cumming Aquatic Center in January. She really enjoyed them, but she isn't a huge fan of going underwater yet. She still did a great job!

Snow!:

Emily really enjoyed her first time playing in the snow...unfortunately Fouad was out of town when it happened! We were lucky that I left work early because this was the terrible storm that trapped so many on the roads. Emily and I were content to be snowed in and enjoyed snow cream, hot chocolate, and building snowmen!

 Yes...she went sledding in a laundry basket! We need to get that girl a real sled!

December...in March!

We have been so busy the past few months, the poor blog has been neglected! I'm going to catch up on a few months, so hold on to your hats!

December is always very busy with us because of the holidays and all of the activities that surround them. Here are a few highlights from Christmastime 2013:

Polar Express Night at Crabapple:

Emily's school put on a Polar Express night for the kids that included hot chocolate and a visit with Santa!

Winter Ballet Recital:

Emily is LOVING ballet and her recital in December was so adorable! It's a long video, but definitely worth watching!

Christmas:

We had an amazing Christmas! Emily really enjoyed everything this year and was VERY excited that Santa was coming. We had our elf - Vegetables - visit us again. Emily was so sad to see him leave after Christmas, and still asks about when he will return. Here's a picture from Emily's visit with Santa:

We also found out that we were expecting baby #2 in early December, and on New Year's Eve we went to see the baby on the first ultrasound. What a wonderful way to wrap up 2013!
